"I suppose that I am best known for my
collaborations with John Otway. Erring
on the side of obscurity, it has always
been my ambition to become more of
an enigmatic performer, rather than a
superstar as I find the former a greater
influence on my creativity. This maybe
explains my almost obsessive pursuit of
playing slide guitar with a raw egg
(egg necking), engaging the services of
a carpenters saw to enhance an otherwise
"heard it all before" ragtime composition
and using a wheelie bin as a wah wah effect -
and then there's the Glaswegian Bagpuss!!
Ahh well, sometimes I'm right,
sometimes I'm nearly right…"
